Project Description:
The WIN4H2 project is an ambitious initiative developed by Naturgy, Exolum, and other key partners. Its main objective is to create a green hydrogen infrastructure to support mobility in Spain. The first phase involves the development of a network of 50 hydrogen refueling stations throughout the country, ensuring nationwide coverage for hydrogen vehicle fueling.
Our Involvement:
Our team was responsible for the basic engineering of the hydrogen refueling infrastructure in Madrid, Valencia, and Murcia:
✅Hydrogen Generation: Designing facilities capable of producing 200 Nm³/h of hydrogen on-site through electrolysis.
✅Compression and Storage: sizing of the compression and storage systems that reach up to 900 barg and a dispensing system adapted for pressures of 35–70 MPa.
✅Applications: Dispensing hydrogen for transport fleets and refilling MEGC containers, facilitating hydrogen logistics and transportation.
Key Technical Aspects:
✅Coverage: Each hydrogen refueling station covers a 150 km radius, enabling the creation of connected mobility corridors.
✅Scalable Supply: The network of stations is designed to grow alongside the hydrogen vehicle market, meeting increased demand in each region.
✅Mobility Innovation: WIN4H2 enables hydrogen vehicles to travel along national and international routes, paving the way for sustainable transportation solutions.
Project Impact:
WIN4H2 lays the groundwork for low-emission mobility in Spain, significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the transportation sector. This project marks a major milestone in the energy transition, positioning green hydrogen as a cornerstone of sustainability.

Conclusion:
Our contribution to WIN4H2 highlights our expertise in developing green hydrogen infrastructure for mobility. This project not only transforms the landscape of sustainable transportation in Spain but also drives the adoption of hydrogen as a viable energy source for the future of logistics and transportation across the country.
🌱We are committed to a sustainable future with green hydrogen at the core of decarbonization.
