As ex-Abengoinos that we are, engineering works are part of the DNA of this company, and therefore, we are proud to say that we do engineering works with the quality of someone who has worked in Palmas Altas. Typical engineering works are conceptual, basic, FEED and constructive (or detail). These are defined below for clarity.
We work along the entire hydrogen value chain.
In Lean Hydrogen we are fortunate to be able to help in all phases of a project, but if we tell you the truth, the sooner we enter the better, why? Very simple, imagine that your project is to build a house, you start with the base, the foundations, you know that one, right? Now, who do you ask to calculate the foundations? Well, the same thing here. If you want to get your project off to a good start, the sooner an experienced hydrogen team comes in, the better. But if you’ve discovered us late, that’s okay, better late than never.
Our engineering
You know what AACE is, AACE is the “Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering”. This international association is a professional organization that follows the definition of the type of engineering with which we usually work, following the most consensual international standards.
Conceptual
(ICO)
Focused on defining the scope and feasibility of the project, with an overview and preliminary estimates. Assumes 10% of the pre-construction engineering work.
Basic
(IBA)
Develops more detailed design, technical specifications, and advanced planning, including risk analysis and environmental studies.This phase accounts for 35% of pre-construction engineering.
Detail
(IDE)
It specifies the final design details, construction drawings, specifications for fabrication and preparations for implementation.It accounts for 55% of the engineering and requires clarity on the equipment, valves and instruments to be installed in the facility.
Front-End
(FEED)
We perform the design engineering stage before starting the construction of a project, our goal is to have a detailed design that serves as a solid basis for construction.Actually, FEED engineering is very similar to basic engineering, both of them have the same key points, the core, while the difference is more in the boundaries.

EPC
Before you get the wrong idea about us, we do NOT do EPC, we do the E of EPC.That is, we work with EPCs to be their E, their hydrogen department during the construction of renewable hydrogen facilities. Performing all types of work, but especially construction engineering and construction management assistance.
